Very friendly. Came to our local dock to pick us up. Able to relate to everyone on the boat. He was great with all age and experience levels. Kept us on the fish and our poles in the water. We caught a variety of fish and plenty to take to the local restaurant and have prepared. We even got to reel in and release a 6 foot hammer head! Would definitely recommend.

My brother came to Wilmington for a job interview and I met him down there. We are from more inland USA so we don’t get many chances to go salt water fishing. Capt Guion was more than willing to accommodate our needs such as: getting out on the water a bit earlier and getting us back to shore in time for job interview requirements. From the jump he is a bundle of energy and you can really tell he... loves what he does. What I really appreciated about him was he is willing to change his gameplan up. He will do everything in his power to get you on some fish. He isn’t one of those people that just says this is where we’re going no matter what. Had a great fishing trip with Capt Guion! He took me and my son on a great half day trip which lasted most of the whole day once he found out I planned the trip because my son was shipping out for basic training a few days after. The past week’s heatwave had the fish very tight lipped. Capt’n Guion constantly changed position and techniques to give us the best chance and putting some fish on the boat. We managed a few nice flounder, some various other bottom fish and spent 45 minutes in a hungry school of small blues, hooking up on almost every cast. The Redfish were not interested in anything we threw at them so we... didn’t get a single hook-up.Capt’n Guion has spent most of his life fishing the waters around Carolina Beach. He has exceptional knowledge of the water, the tides, the structure and inshore and near-shore fisheries. He knows how to take care of his clients and made a pretty slow day fishing a very fun and educational experience. I look forward to fishing with him again. I believe we would fill the boat on a day when the fish were actively feeding.read more

Guion was a great Captain who took us out spur of the moment. It was a great mix of instruction and guidance. We found some nice fish that he prepped for us and even added some of his prior catch. Not a luxury boat but held the four of us very comfortably. Nice equipment too! A fantastic day! Would go with him again in a minute!!!

Capt. Guion was a terrific fishing guide. He took us fishing in the ocean and multiple places in the intercoastal. We encountered bad weather and he navigated places to keep us from being impacted by it. We caught blue fish and puppy drums. Guion is very pleasant and a perfect host.
